FAQ: How Much Liquid Plastic Will I Need To Make My Casting?       


A: Estimating the amount of plastic needed to fill your mold cavity can be a challenge. Not having enough plastic or having too much left over is not only frustrating, but costly. The Smooth-On Plastic Estimator can help you calculate the approximate amount of plastic needed to fill your rubber mold cavity.

How Does It Work? This estimator assumes that your original model dimensions now represent the dimensions of a negative mold cavity. It correlates these dimensions with the cubic inch per pound (or cubic centimeter per kilo) yield of the Smooth-On plastic that you select below.
