Addition To The Crystal Clear
Series:
Introducing Crystal Clear™ 220
Crystal Clear™ 220 (formerly 73-184) is a harder addition to the Crystal
Clear™ line (Shore 85D vs. 80D) and heat curing / post curing is recommended.
Great For Prototyping:
Clear Advantages vs. Existing Clear Products
Like our other clear products, CC 220 is UV resistant. Because this is a heat cure product, the heat resistance is higher (heat distortion temperature of (212°F / 100°C vs. 100°F / 38°C). Because it is harder, it is easier to precisely machine and polish (remove scratches). You also get less
“suck back” and shrinkage with this product vs. other clear products. Casting thickness
maximum is about 4 cubic inches (65 cubic centimeters). The mix ratio is 100A:75B by weight. Vacuum degassing or
pressure
casting to eliminate bubbles is recommended. |
 |
As with our other Crystal Clear™ products,
silicone molds (Mold Max™ silicones are
recommended) must be thoroughly cured or |

post cured before casting to avoid cure
inhibition. Like all aliphatic resins, proper ventilation and a NIOSH approved respirator is
recommended when using this product.
