For a long time, we have had requests from customers for a Pecan Flour that can be added to our casting resins to reproduce a wood grain. 

First, you need a mold that captured wood grain from an original model.  Next, mix Urefil™ 5 with Smooth-Cast™ 320 (1A:1B:1 part filler) and cast into the mold. 

After demold, apply wood stain (or brown shoe  polish) to the casting.  You can not tell the difference between the casting and the wood original. 

An original wood model - needs to have good grain detail.	Pour the mixture of resin & U-5 in the mold you made of the original.	In this case, brown shoe polish was diluted with alcohol to form a stain mixture.	The resin casting duplicates the wood grain of the original. You can not tell it is made from  liquid plastic.
