Plat-Cat™ Platinum Silicone Cure Accelerator

As anyone using a platinum silicone knows, you can accelerate these materials using heat, but this method takes time and can be problematic. In response to your requests, we are introducing Plat-Cat™ platinum silicone cure accelerator.

Plat-Cat™ is a single component additive that works only with platinum-cure silicones. It is added as a percentage of the Part A side and will reduce the cure time of the rubber in proportion to the amount of accelerator added.

As the linked chart will indicate, cure time can be reduced from overnight to a few hours. Keep in mind that pot life is significantly reduced in proportion to the amount of accelerator added. Plat-Cat™ does not affect ultimate and physical and performance properties of the rubber.

Bad News - Plat-Cat™ is expensive.

Good News - You use a very small amount of Plat-Cat™ to get results.
