New ‘U-12 Concentrated Mold Rinse
& Release Agent For Releasing
Plaster From Rubber Molds

U-12 Mold Rinse & Release is an economical "non-soap" based concentrate that is diluted with water and applied to the surface of
a rubber mold prior to casting gypsum plasters. Properly mixed and
applied, U-12 breaks the surface tension of the mold rubber surface
and allows plaster to flow and de-air better. Plaster castings cure
with fewer air bubbles.

It also helps in remove residual plaster debris and eliminates plaster build-up. Regular use of U-12 Mold Rinse (especially when doing high volume production casting) will aid in extending mold life.

U-12 concentrate is mixed 1 part U-12 to 4 parts water by volume. It can be misted onto a mold’s surface with a spray bottle or brushed on with a paint brush. Plaster can then be mixed and applied immediately (no need to wait). It breaks the surface tension on the mold’s surface to improve surface finish and aid in releasing plaster from the mold. U-12 does not interfere with the “paintability” of a casting.

Directions - For Best Results:

1. Apply mold rinse before each casting.

2. Recommended Mix Ratio: 1 Part U-12 : 4 parts water by volume

3. Mix one part U-12 Mold Rinse with (4) parts water by volume and apply to rubber mold cavity with spray bottle or pour into mold and thoroughly coat using soft paintbrush.

4. Immediately mix and cast plaster into mold.

Dilution Options:
1 Part U-12 : 3 parts water
1 Part U-12 : 5 parts water
