Ure-Fil™ 7 Added To Urethane Resin Provides Dimensional Stability, Economy & Improved Flame Resistance

As many of you know, there are literally hundreds of powder fillers available that you can add to casting resins. You can attain a variety of effects with different fillers.

Currently, we sell Ure-Fil™ 3 which is a crushed ceramic. We also offer Ure-Fil™ 5 for customers looking to attain a woodgrain finish in their castings.

Our latest addition is Ure-Fil™ 7, which is a fine powder that mixes well with urethane resins and can be added by volume to attain different effects and properties.

Urefil 7 will improve the dimensional stability of some materials (reduce the shrinkage rate of some resins, for example). Urefil 7 can also added to materials to make them flame-resistant. And like most fillers, Urefil 7 will lower your cost per casting in proportion to the amount added.

 Be careful of
the amount of Ure-Fil™ 7 you add to a resin because cured castings can become brittle. The maximum amount of that you could add to a resin before compromising the physical properties of the cured plastic would be 1A to 1B to 2 Parts Ure-Fil™ 7.

A mix ratio of 1A to 1B to 3 Parts Ure-Fil™ 7 will make the plastic trowelable, but the cured plastic will also be brittle.
