Color With Smooth-Cast 325 Colormatch
 Smooth-Cast 325 Colormatch is a “color neutral” fast
cast urethane resin that allows the user to achieve vivid colors
with the addition of minimal amounts of liquid color pigment.
We developed this product in response to customer desire to
pigment existing Smooth-Cast products. For example, if you want to
achieve a true black color with SC 300 by adding black pigment,
the best you can do is achieve a dark gray with the addition of up
to 10% Smooth-On black pigment (added to as a percentage of Part B
and pre-mixed before adding Part A). With SC 325 Colormatch, you
can achieve a solid, rich black color with the addition of 0.25%
-1.0% black pigment. For a translucent effect, add 0.05% to 0.1%
pigment.
Smooth-Cast 325 is also ideal for metal cold casting because it
requires far less metal powder than conventional resins to achieve
a metallic effect.
This product does not “snap cure” to a hard rigid plastic
immediately. You can demold your casting in 10 minutes (depending
on mass and configuration). Castings will be semi-rigid for about
one hour. Thin castings may take up to 24 hours to become rigid.
